Dip the Rolls
Prepare your toilet tissue rolls for inoculation by soft pasteurizing it with boiling water.

Dip the Rolls
Before adding any grain to the toilet tissue, you must first "soft" pasteurize it by boiling it briefly.
Toilet Tissue and Grain Spawn
Soft Pasteurize
Bring a pot of water to a boil and dip your roll in it (just a few seconds) with tongs, or pour the water over the roll while it's inside a strainer.
Tissue after Pasteurization
Place the hot toilet tissue roll on a small plate. Remove the paperboard core and allow the roll to cool down before adding your oyster mushroom spawn.
